Hendon Christian Housing Association

The Hendon Christian Housing Association (HCHA)

The Hendon Christian Housing Association has been working in Barnet for nearly 60 years and provides accommodation at reasonable rent for elderly, handicapped, partially sighted and disadvantaged groups within the borough.
It is a small association with around 150 units and is governed by a volunteer board of directors, a professional chairman and a commercial agency which runs the property management operations.

Typically, the board is comprised of selected property professionals, tenants and representatives from local churches.
As several church representatives will soon retire from the board, HCHA is looking for volunteers from local churches to provide ongoing input to support the local church concept of providing housing to those in need and for the disadvantaged.

Board members can be from any discipline but it has proven very useful to have individuals with a background of property, construction, legal matters, project work, finance and similar areas.
Board meetings are about every two months with occasional project meetings and site visits in-between.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of joining the board or know anyone who might be suitable please contact us.

Please see the HCHA Website on www.hendonchristianha.org.uk for more details.
