Volunteers for live-streaming

Volunteers needed for live-streaming

We have been live-streaming the 10:30am Sunday Mass on Zoom every week (with one exception) since we were allowed to resume real-life services in the church.
Usually, up to 15 people join the service online.

In the coming weeks, we expect to gradually resume more of the normal activities such as congregational singing and eventually taking the sacrament at the communion rail.

That will result in an increase in the complexity of live-streaming.
Up to now I have just about been able to do it all by myself, but it has been quite literally stretching!

In order to keep up our live-streaming, we need some volunteers to take over two positions:
Camera Operator and Sound Mixer/Zoom Host.
Experience of camera work and/or sound mixing would be useful, but not essential.
However the Sound Mixer/Zoom Host must be computer literate.
I will provide training and a guide book.

Enthusiasm and dedication are more important – you will have to be in the church to set up the equipment well before the service starts (the live-stream actually begins at about 10:20 to include the organ voluntary).
It will also mean not being able to take part in other activities during the service such as reading, serving, leading intercession or going out to Sunday School.

Ideally we should have a team of at least three people, so that we can be sure of having two available every week.

If you are interested, please email me at admin@smmh.org.uk
or speak to me after the service.
