ST MICHAEL AND ALL ANGELS
CHURCH
CELEBRATED ITS CENTENARY
ON 26th JUNE 2021

We were privileged and thankful that  the Right Reverend and Right Honourable Dame Sarah Mullally, Bishop of London presided and preached at a special celebration Mass at 2:30pm.

We were also grateful for the kind attendance of Martin Russell, Her Majesty's Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Barnet, and The Worshipful the Mayor of the London Borough of Barnet,
Alison Cornelius.

The service was recorded, and is now available to watch on our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lDYTOfsmfo

The service included a performance on the Koto from Keiko Kitamura, a recorded anthem
from the London Pro Arte Choir, intercessions with music from our Junior Church,
a presentation by St Martin's School (which also celebrated its Centenary in 2021)
and speeches by the Deputy Lieutenant and the the Mayor of Barnet.

The pages which follow are a History of St Michael and All Angels Mill Hill taken mostly from
"The Story of St Michael's" (Colin Bartlett, 1976), "The Story of Mill Hill" (John W Collier,
edited and completed by Ralph Calder, 1990) and various other contributors.

The new "Story of St Michael's" book was distributed to those who attended the Centenary celebration service, with a commemorative bookmark.
Copies of the book and the bookmark are available to anyone on request.
