Churches Together

MAY 2022

The object for Churches Together in Mill Hill is for its member churches to share together in the ministry of Christ in the world through worship, mission and service

Dear Jesus, I thank you that you came in human form and lived on earth.
You always did what your Heavenly Father desired.
Today we celebrate the day when you left the earth by being taken up into Heaven,
where you sit on the throne.
I remember and believe you will fulfil your promises to us.
So I wait for your return to the earth, when sin and death will finally be defeated.
Jesus, I need your presence in my life, your direction and help.
I pray in the name of Jesus, our Ascended Lord.  Amen.

Mill Hill Crusaders Anniversary

Now known as Urban Saints, was founded in 1921.
We plan to hold a thanksgiving service for this  (a year late) on SATURDAY 7th MAY @ 3:00pm
at St Paul's Church on The Ridgeway, Mill Hill.
All who would like to celebrate our centenary with us are most welcome.
Former members who have memories they would like to share are invited to contact or for more information.

Christian Aid Fundraising afternoon
at the Eversfield Centre

On Thursday 12 May, 2-4pm, our traditional Cream Tea afternoon will again take place,
organised by Open House.
Entrance £2.
The afternoon will include information and films from Christian Aid, a Bring and Buy stall
and opportunities to donate to Christian Aid as well as enjoying a delicious cream tea.
All are welcome.

Steps Challenge

Trinity Church is also taking part again this year in the Christian Aid sponsored "Steps Challenge".
This will take place throughout the month of May when as many of us as possible will be
committing ourselves to walk as many steps as we are physically able to do.
Some will be able to do many, many steps, others just a few - all will contribute as they can.
We shall raise money through getting sponsors or making donations to Christian Aid ourselves.
We are aiming to surpass last year's achievement, when our combined total was 1.7 million steps and raised £2000.

This year between us all we hope to walk 3 million steps, through any activity that enables us to
track our steps during the entire month of May.
Instructions on how to donate will be available shortly.
We invite members and friends of any of the Mill Hill Churches who would like to join in this
challenge to email: giving their name, name of their Church
and the number of steps they intend to walk.
We will then let you know how you can donate.
