Benediction

On Sunday, 17^th November at 6:00pm
we will have a service of Benediction of
the Blessed Sacrament in the church.

In the service of Benediction, the priest blesses
the people with the Eucharist displayed in the
Monstrance, a vessel in which the consecrated
eucharistic host (the sacramental bread)
is displayed.

This will  be the first use of our new Monstrance, which was acquired during our visit
to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in October.

This blessing differs from the usual priest's blessing,
as it is seen to be a blessing by Christ
rather than that of the individual priest.

The service takes about 30 minutes, and after that
we will share a curry supper and fellowship.
